With our neighbors up in new england but we want to start in maryland. Thats where the water main break weve been talking about created a sinkhole that swallowed a car. It happened early this morning in bladensburg. Nikki burr design joins us live. They shut off the water. Thats right, nikki . Reporter where are you going now . I dont know. I dont know where were going. They tried to open like a reporter a shelter . Im sorry. Reporter thats okay. A shelter. Reporter clearly emotional about what happened this morning. I called the wssc. I said, do you know it is an emergency. Reporter her home flooded. Her neighbors themselves nearly swallowed up in this sinkhole along with their car. They noticed water pouring into their house. They jumped in their car to leave but then that started to sink. They got out just in time. Thank god they didnt put the seat belt on and it helped them to go out of the car.
