Crowned champion in the category of Best in eCommerce (Brands) – Food & Beverage at the Asia eCommerce Awards 2020 is Loob Holding, parent firm of Malaysia bubble tea chain Tealive. The bubble tea chain has been making headlines since last year with its innovative ideas and eCommerce push. Most recently last week, it has also expanded into the Cambodia market, and said it aims to set up 25 outlets in five years. This marks the eighth market the Tealive brand has entered into, after Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Brunei, the Philippines, Australia and the UK.
One of Tealive s more iconic innovations, a do-it-yourself (DIY) bubble tea kit, was birthed during the COVID-19 period amidst the lockdown. Upon unveiling the kits, Tealive was met with tremendous response and launched an online store that was dedicated to selling the DIY kits. Tealive brand owner Loob Holding Sdn Bhd has recently inked a master franchise agreement with a unit of HSC Group, which is Cambodia’s largest food and beverage (F&B) player.
KUALA LUMPUR: Leading lifestyle tea brand Tealive is set to enter into Cambodia with plans to set up 25 outlets within five years.
Tealive brand owner Loob Holding Sdn Bhd has recently inked a master franchise agreement with a unit of HSC Group, which is Cambodia’s largest food and beverage (F&B) player.

Tealive has expanded into Cambodia via a master franchise agreement with a unit of Cambodian F&B player HSC Group, and aims to set up 25 outlets in five years. Loob Holding founder and CEO Bryan Loo (pictured) said HSC Group was chosen due to its good fit with the Tealive brand, having been a custodian of various international brands in the F&B industry. 
HSC Group currently manages international F&B brands such as Paris Baguette, Crystal Jade Restaurant, Burger King, 100 Plus and others in Cambodia besides retail brands and cosmetics. It is owned by Oknha Sok Hong, the son of Cambodian tycoon Oknha Sok Kong whose Sokimex conglomerate is involved in diverse businesses including Cambodia’s largest petrol station network. ....
