Despite starting from the six-hole Binkley sent the son of Manofmanymissions to the lead when the gate sprung and she led her competition by that standard in :29.1. Despite Roundtown Rocker ( Peter Stratton) being parked the talented lady driver of her charge by the half in :59.2. After Wittyville put Stratton s trotter away Binkley braced for challenges from Backdoor Man (Floyd Rhodes) and Just Joe (Naquel Harvey). However Wittyville was up to the challenges and the veteran trotter proved too hard to overcome and he drew off to a two-length lead which he carried all the way to the wire. ....

Eddie Miller and Lonnie Graber won their respective $7,800 trotting events hosted by the Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association on Saturday night (May 1) at MGM Northfield Park. In the first split, Miller and Cowboy Country hugged the pylons from their back-row start to land in fifth while Curleys Son (Marion Chupp) and Shake It Off Lindy (Don Sherman) sparred for the lead through a :28 first quarter. At the halfway point, Curleys Son enjoyed a three-length lead, but had to brace for Cowboy Country, who angled out to challenge. Still, Curleys Son showed the way by the :57.4 half and 1:27.4 third stanza. But, when the field rounded the final turn, Cowboy Country asserted himself and went on to a 1-1/4-length win in 1:58.1 Curleys Son was an easy second, and Starsaboveallerage who was parked the entire mile finished third for Steve Oldford. ....
Larry Ferrari got all the marbles on Saturday (April 24) when he won the in the Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association (GLADA) Series Trot at Northfield Park with Go Go George. Together, they made every pole a winning one in progress to a 1:57.4 win over eight others. Sent as the second choice from the four-hole in the nine-horse field, Ferrari took advantage of a miscue at the start by favoured Warrior Way and gunned his charge to the lead before a :29.3 first quarter. With Go Go George on the engine, Ferrari got away with another :29-and-a-piece quarter, and when they rounded the clubhouse turn the second time Ferrari put the pedal to the metal. Go Go George opened daylight on his competitors as they trotted by three-quarters in 1:28.2. Well in command as they headed for home, Ferrari s trotter was strong all the way to the wire. ....
