More than 40 MPs including several shadow cabinet ministers had been invited to a private reception at their Liverpool Conference to discuss the proposed tax raid.
Covid-19 Systematic Meaningful Asymptomatic Repeated Testing (SMART) was introduced among delegates attending the Liverpool Conference 2020.
Liverpool City Council worked with Downtown in Business and ACC Liverpool to use rapid testing technology with the aim of increasing Covid-19 safety measures at the event.
The initiative was part of the city’s drive to use SMART community testing as part of everyday life and open up the business economy.
Community testing has contributed towards driving the city’s infection rate down over the last month, meaning Liverpool and the wider city region has been placed in Tier 2, allowing many businesses to reopen and events and conferences with fewer than 1,000 visitors to take place.
