Stay with us here on Bbc News and we will keep you updated as we get more information. The Labour Party will today hold its first annual conference since its landslide general election win. Despite delegates celebrating the partys electoral success, ministers will be urging Party Members at the Liverpool Conference to prepare for more tough decisions in next months budget. It come after Downing Street said that the prime minster, his deputy and the chancellor will no longer accept any donations for clothing following Growing Criticism over gifts from party donors. 0ur political correspondent Iain Watson has this report. Well, i think well find out in the next 2a hours or so whether it has managed to move on by saying, as you heard at the start there, that keir starmer, Angela Rayner and rachel reeves, who are going to be the three really big faces that we see speaking at the conference over the next few days, wont be receiving or taking any more gifts of clothing that might leave questions open to other things. And it also, its not the only story that has been making things a bit rocky for the government in the last week or so. There have also been these reports, claims and leaks from about problems behind the scenes at number ten and some of the tensions there. So that that is another thing thats forming a backdrop to this conference. But having a Party Conference does give you a Shop Window for a few days, if you like, and labour will be wanting to take advantage of that, to try and take back the conversation, to put it back on to what they are doing in government, what they plan to do in government, putting it back more onto policy. So everywhere you look around this hall, whether its on the hoardings here, if its on pillars, on giant banners hanging from the ceiling is this Slogan Change begins and that is the message that labour is going to be trying to use this conference to, to, to push, of course, how successful that is in changing the conversation, in moving away from those rocky patches will depend, to some extent, on what happens on the Conference Floor here. We know, as you heard in ians piece, that there are some efforts to try and get some of the policy issues that are have caused a few tensions, like the cut to the Winter Fuel Allowance discussed. There are also some meetings about israel and gaza, and that has been a long Running Tension within the party. So well have to see what happens over the next few days. But it will be. And also, of course, there will be an element of, of celebration to to an extent, because of course, this is a Party Meeting that is in government for the first time in a decade and a half, with a very large majority. We continue in the uk, where the police is now receiving more rape reports from 14 year old girls than from any other groups. In an interview with the newspaper the times, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper pointed at violent pornography and the lack of action from Social Media companies to restrict access to this material as some of the causes for this rise in this type of reports. Lets speak to andrea simon, director at End Violence against women coalition. Police receiving more Rain Reports from 14 year old girls, is that down to pornography . Seeing this rise in Sexual Assaults by children to other children is really alarming. What we have long said is that it is necessary for urgent action on those things online that are influencing Young Boys behaviour. That violent pornography is easy to access by people on smartphones. Its notjust by people on smartphones. Its not just appearing by people on smartphones. Its notjust appearing on Pawn Sites but also on Social Media platforms the issue is bigger than pornography. There are also misogynistic influences. When it comes to regulations of these big Tech Companies, there is always a sentiment that they do not do enough, is that continuing . Continuing . According to society. Continuing . According to society. We continuing . According to society, we then continuing . According to society, we then find continuing . According to j society, we then find out schools have to pick up the pieces without the resourcing that they need. We also want to see the government announcing measures that prioritise six education that is relevant to the digital age. We have the online safety act. It hasnt gone far enough in our view. We still have multi million Dollar Companies who dont have enough robust regulation and dont build enough safety into their platforms by design. Thats what we need to be doing if we going to address this. The law itself still lets down victims and we think rather than having some piecemeal bits of legislation that will allow certain behaviours, what we need to be doing something more comprehensive in that space. Where we have an image based abuse law, that will insure that survivors get the access to Justice And Support and that we hold Tech Companies to account more strongly. Its also vital that when we think about young people were not thinking about the criminal Law Space with a king about education. Letting young people know how best not to experience sexual domestic abuse in their own relationships, and also what to do when they do experience that abuse, and a safe place to report and things will be done to safeguard them. The uk Home Secretary also pointing to a possible gap within schools and parents. That they have to step up their game as parents in covering that educational gap. Would you agree . I that educational gap. Would you auree . ~ , that educational gap. Would you auree . ~ ,. , agree . I think its important for all of agree . I think its important for All Of Us agree . I think its important for All Of Us to agree . I think its important for All Of Us to be agree . I think its important for All Of Us to be talking for All Of Us to be talking about these issues. But certainly delivering that Media Literacy education, and Relationship Education in schools need to be relevant to young people in the digital age. Its the best way of preventing more people. In its absence we do is find people looking online to plug those gaps in education. And what theyre increasingly finding is more violent pornography which depicts Sexual Assault and misogynistic influences whose content has massive reach on Social Media platforms. There are lots of gaps that need to be supported to prevent harm to young people. To prevent harm to young eole. , to prevent harm to young eole. , , to prevent harm to young eole. , , people. Just briefly, young bo s, people. Just briefly, Young Boys. Theyre people. Just briefly, Young Boys, theyre not people. Just briefly, Young Boys, theyre not looking l people. Just briefly, young | boys, theyre not looking to people. Just briefly, Young Boys, theyre not looking to be run violent is itjust that accessibility that perhaps leads them to potentially behave that way, that is a reason why you got so many young girls reporting rain . We are uuite young girls reporting rain . Are quite familiar with this idea that youre not always searching for this content but this content is being pushed towards you. I think many young men and boys are being. Looking for mental health content, orfitness looking for mental health content, or Fitness Advice and they are getting pushed a lot of extreme misogyny. We havent found that the law is going to address that. We cantjust continue to allow this to grow and be more of an issue and embed itself into the culture without addressing the other side of things, the education that young people need and the space they need to talk about what they are consuming online. A difficult subject thank you forjoining us. This weekend marks the 80th Anniversary of one of the major allied military operation of the second world war.
