They will provide mutual aid to local and cal fire crews. While the king fire is the largest in the state, the boles fire has been the most destructive. It ripped through the town of weed, which is along i5 west of mount shasta. The fire is smaller in size at 375 acres, but it has done an incredible amount of damage. At least 110 homes have been destroyed, four of those belonging to firefighters. Another 90 homes are damaged. The fire has wiped out churches, a Community Center and library.
