Peddapalli Zilla Parishad Chairman Putta Madhu who was arrested by Telangana police on May 8th was released on Monday evening. He went to Manthani.
Task force police and a special investigation team from Hyderabad questioned the former MLA along with his brother Putta Satyanarayana and his friend Maddipati Srinivas Rao for many hours at the Ramagundam police commissionerate on Sunday.
Police quizzed Putta Madhu on his role in the murder of Vamana Rao and Nagamani that took place on February 17, 2021 at Kalvacherla in Ramagiri mandal.
Police questioned Madhu on why did he withdrew Rs 2 crore from a bank before the gruesome murder of Vamana Rao couple. The officials also questioned as what is the need for him to stay away from Manthani.

A writ petition seeking transfer of the investigation into the lawyer couple murder case to CBI from the Ramagiri police of Ramagundam commissionerate has been filed in Telangana High Court.
The plea filed by slain advocate Gattu Vaman Rao’s father Gattu Kishan Rao is likely to come up for hearing in next two to three days. The petitioner also wanted five police officers, including Ramagundam Police Commissioner V. Satyanarayana, to be transferred from their present postings to ensure free and fair investigation of the case.

HYDERABAD: Advocate couple, Gattu Vaman Rao and Nagamani, were followed by the assailants’ henchman for nearly three hours before they were hacked to death in Peddapalli district on Wednesday afternoon. “This clearly shows that it was a pre-determined murder,” Ramagundam police commissioner V Satyanarayana told TOI even as three of the accused were arrested on Thursday. Among those nabbed was Kunta Srinivas, local TRS leader and alleged mastermind of the murders.
“The killers used a car with a temporary registration number. They also acquired hunting sickles to commit the crime,” inspector general of police Y Nagi Reddy said. “The conspiracy was well-planned and executed.”

New Delhi: A lawyer couple from Telangana was on Wednesday hacked to death by unidentified assailants on a road in broad daylight, near Ramagundam, news reports said.
According to the
Hindu, lawyers Gattu Vaman Rao and P.V. Nagamani were attacked around 3 pm while they were returning to Hyderabad in their car after attending a court case in Manthani. They were practising lawyers at the Telangana high court in Hyderabad.
