Hyderabad: Telangana high court on Thursday took suo-motu cognizance of the gruesome murder of an advocate couple that took place in Peddapalli district
The couple was returning to Peddapalli from Manthani when they were attacked.
HYDERABAD: Nearly three hours of recee was done by the accused before executing the sensational murder of two advocates Gattu Vamana Rao and his wife Nagamani in Peddapalli district on Wednesday.
The man who conducted recee made four telephone calls to the prime accused Kunta Srinu, who is now found to be an ex-Maoist, by constantly updating about the couple’s movements.
During the investigation done by Ramagudam police, they came to know that the couple at 8.30am on Wednesday had breakfast in Siddipet district. At 12.30pm they reached Manthani in Peddapalli, where they met Vamana Rao’s brother Gattu Indrasekhar Rao at a local court.
The FIR filed in the case of murder of Telangana's lawyer couple states that the construction of a temple and an illegal house by a TRS leader was the motive behind the murder.

Police on Thursday arrested three prime accused in the sensational lawyer couple murder, which triggered State wide protests by lawyers.
While Kunta Srinivas, 44, and S. Chiranjeevi, 35, were picked up near Wankidi of Chandrapur on Telanagna-Maharashtra border area, the third accused Akkapaka Kumar , 44, was held in Manthani. They would be presented before the court on Friday.
Another person Bittu Srinu, nephew of a local leader of ruling TRS party, emerged as one of the key conspirators in the case. Hunt is on for him.
