hyatt regency. this is in burlingame. good morning, bob. reporter: good morning to you, scott and kris. within the past 30 to 50 minutes, i d say, it s gotten a little more tense out here. you have a number of protesters, either anti-trump protesters and at least a few hundred, possibly more and what they have done is they have blocked both entrances to the hyatt regency where donald trump is supposed to speak at noon. you can see the police within the past minute, i d say, they have blocked this part of the road so protesters can t come over here where you see behind you. they have linked arms and they are shutting down access to the road. more police have come out here. we are expecting them to issue perhaps an order for them to disperse, to do something to remove them because right now there is no way for donald trump s motorcade to physically make it into the hotel at this time. now, when we were out here a couple of hours ago, the protests were peaceful and then this h

we get more from nbc s chris clackum. reporter: bill cosby is being formally charged in a sexual assault case that s coming from just one of the more than 50 women who accuse him of drugging and/or sexually assaulting them. there is one charge that is filed, aggravated indecent assault, which is a felony of the first degree. reporter: the incoming district attorney says this case involves a former employee who cosby invited near his home in 2004. on the evening in question mr. cosby urged her to take pills that he provided to her and to drink wine. the effect of which rendered her unable to move or respond to his advances. and he committed aggravated indecent assault upon her. reporter: the charge against cosby comes just two weeks after he filed defamation lawsuits against several of his accusers. he s scheduled to be arraigned in suburban philadelphia wednesday afternoon. chris clackum, nbc news. in fact, that arraignment will come in just a few minutes. also ne

murder charges against the doctor. we spoke with the deputy d.a. by phone earlier this morning. she tells us that her office first had doubts about their case against the doctor back in july, which is why they released him then with the understanding they wanted to re-examine certain aspects of the case before this afternoon s hearing. this morning she said they reached a decision to drop the charges against the doctor, in quote, the interest of justice, unquote. his friend, galvez, still stands accused of stabbing to death the doctor s wife. this happened inside their gilroy home on april 1st. she showed the d.a. documents that proved galvez is a con man. those are her words, who was trying to swindle the two out of their condo located in ecuador. when galvez went to close the door on the sale of property, he killed her on his own without being hired to do so by the doctor as the district attorney s office first alleged. i represent an innocent client. i mean, he s 100% in
