Deadly anthrax spores. They unwittingly used live and potentially lethal anthrax in a train traing exercise last week. So far no one has shown signs of sickness or at the affected laboratories in the u. S. Three lab workers in delaware and wisconsin are also taking antibiotics to prevent infection. The review must be thrower because the spores can survive for years out in the open. Theres concern because the samples were transpoerted by fedex along with everyday packages. The scare began last march at the dugway proving ground in utah when a batch of anthrax known as ag 1 was bombarded with radiation to render it safe. But some of the spores survived alive and potentially deadly. For years batches thought to be safe were sent to 1 labs across the country via fedex air. South korea received its shipment in march.
