a very good morning to you. thanks so much for joining us this monday morning. i m laura garcia. we went on an extra 30 minutes early this morning at 4:00 a.m. just because of this red flag warning. i m kris sanchez in for marcus washington. we are seeing some vegetation fires pop up overnight. kari hall is watching those winds. and the high fire danger will continue throughout this morning as we ve seen the high wind gusts especially in our upper elevations and the wind advisory will expire at 11:00 but the rest of the day will be breezy as we see the winds gusting for even our valleys up to 50 miles an hour. this red flag warning will continue for today. up until tomorrow morning so we re still looking at breezy winds and some very dry air. we ll continue to monitor that and talk about what s ahead in our forecast coming up. mike, how is it looking driving to work this morning? kari, your system and my system are map share data as we look at the maps for traffic data,
of us. thank you, mike. firefighters put out a small grass fire along interstate 580 alonging along regatta boulevard in richmond. fires were reported in castro valley and healdsburg. firefighters worked to stop these fires quickly before they could reach homes and other buildings. because of the dangerous fire conditions pg&e cut off power to more than 106,000 people across the bay area. people in the north bay were some of the first to go dark. lauren martinez is live in mill valley. here in mill valley you can see some degree in the strebris. restaurant owners at tip s roadside in kenwood were angry after they lost power an hour before they were told it was scheduled to be shut off. they hope they don t lose what s on ice in their freezer. a couple weeks ago, we lost all the food in there. it was probably 15,000, $20,000. everything is so much harder now because of covid, fires, power outages. it s just you know, everybody is saying i can t wait for 2020 to b
