Nine Seminoles Earn ALL-ACC Academic Honors

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team had nine student-athletes earn All-ACC Academic honors as Vic Allen, Alice Amendola, Anna Arkadianou, Millie Bissett, Olympe Lancelot, Kristyna Lavickova, Kianah Motosono, Ellie Schoppe, and Mila Saric made the All-ACC Academic Team, which was announced Wednesday. The Seminoles earned a 3.69 grade-point average in the 2022-2023 academic year and a program high 3.77 spring semester GPA. The team had nine earn a 3.5 GPA or higher, which included five 4.0 GPAs in the spring season. Academic requirements for the selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade-point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests. Florida State Travels Northeast For Pair of ACC Matches

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team travels northeast to face Syracuse on Friday and Boston College on Sunday. The Seminoles are 5-3 on the season and look to start off strong in ACC play. Florida State enters this weekend ranked 35th in the national team rankings. Senior Vic Allen is coming off a win 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles against Old Dominion’s Sharar Biran, who is ranked 124th nationally. Allen is 5-2 in the spring season and is a perfect 3-0 a No. 2 singles. Senior Kianah Motosono and junior Ellie Schoppe remain a perfect 4-0 in doubles in the 2023 spring season. Junior Anna Arkadianou is ranked 87th in the national singles rankings and has played at the No. 1 spot in every match she has appeared in this season. Syracuse is 7-0 on the season after a 4-3 win at Boston College on February 18th and is ranked 53rd in the national team rankings. The Orange is led by junior Ines Fonte, who is 7-0 on the season. TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team travels to face No. 18 Florida this Thursday in Gainesville, Florida. The match was recently added to the schedule and allows for the rivalry to be renewed. The Seminoles head into this matchup with a 5-1 record after a 4-3 victory vs North Florida. Senior Vic Allen looks to continue her hot start to the 2023 spring season. Allen is 4-1 on the season and was able to come back from a 1-5 deficit in the second set to win the match 6-1, 7-5 at No. 4 singles. Junior Ellie Schoppe and senior Kianah Motosono are a perfect 4-0 in doubles in the 2023 spring season, winning their last match 6-3 against North Florida. Junior Anna Arkadianou is ranked 78th in the national singles rankings and has played at the No. 1 spot in every match she has appeared in this season. Florida State returns home to play North Florida

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team looks to continue its hot start to the 2023 season in a home matchup against North Florida.  The Seminoles are 4-1, including a perfect 3-0 at home, this season.   Junior Ellie Schoppe has had quite an impressive start to the 2023 spring season. Schoppe goes into this weekend's matchup with a 4-0 singles record and a 3-0 doubles record with senior Kianah Motosono.   Schoppe and Motosono were able to capture a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles against 7th-ranked Stanford, and the duo currently has a six-match win streak stretching back to the fall season.   Redshirt sophomore Alice Amendola heads into this matchup with a 2-0 singles record and a 2-0 doubles record.
