Florida State Travels Northeast For Pair of ACC Matches

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team travels northeast to face Syracuse on Friday and Boston College on Sunday. The Seminoles are 5-3 on the season and look to start off strong in ACC play. Florida State enters this weekend ranked 35th in the national team rankings. Senior Vic Allen is coming off a win 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles against Old Dominion’s Sharar Biran, who is ranked 124th nationally. Allen is 5-2 in the spring season and is a perfect 3-0 a No. 2 singles. Senior Kianah Motosono and junior Ellie Schoppe remain a perfect 4-0 in doubles in the 2023 spring season. Junior Anna Arkadianou is ranked 87th in the national singles rankings and has played at the No. 1 spot in every match she has appeared in this season. Syracuse is 7-0 on the season after a 4-3 win at Boston College on February 18th and is ranked 53rd in the national team rankings. The Orange is led by junior Ines Fonte, who is 7-0 on the season.
