PAUL, Minn. (KEYC) Since the large spike seen in COVID-19 cases after Thanksgiving, there has been a dramatic decrease in positive tests in our area. While things are improving, the Minnesota Department of Health cites a concerning up-tick of cases in south central Minnesota. “We have a testing site in Mankato, a free site that anyone can go to. Testing at that site was over 10% compared to the statewide average, which is 3.6%,” MDH Assistant Commissioner Dan Huff said. ....

The Vikings only lost one game in the seven played this year and capped off the campaign with a dominant 88-69 victory over North Central. The hardware comes after coming together as a team and dealing with all the ups and downs thrown at student-athletes. ....

(KEYC) March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and the Mayo Clinic Health System is honing in on prevention. Aside from skin cancers, colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in the U.S., affecting one in 20 people. This year, an estimated 50,000 people will die from the disease. The Mayo Clinic Health System says patients haven’t been coming in for their regular screenings since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Without those regular screenings, patients catch the cancer when it has already progressed to a later stage. ....
