island on sunday, september 18th, on board his small metal boat, the chickenpox. nathan initially told the coast guard, he did not know what happened to his mother, but that his boat took on water and sank in block canyon off the coast of new york, hundreds of miles away from block island. this is not the first time tragedy has struck nathan s family. in 2013, his grandfather was found shot to death in his home in win sore, connecticut. the windsor, connecticut. the case remains unsolved to this reporting that court records reveal nathan carmen was a suspect in the murder of his own grandfather. nathan carmen has aspersion syndrome. in 2011, after his horse died, he disappeared from the family s connecticut home, only to be found in virginia. in august, connecticut s governor declared august 24th missing children s day in honor of nathan carmen. linda carmen s apparent death is devastating her close friends. linda posted these pictures on facebook of their friendship what a
