[laughter] this is a great tribute to a robust and resilient american institution. so, let s also say thank you to joseph pulitzer who created these prizes. it is a very hard thing to win a pulitzer. it is hard even to become one of the finalists. hundreds and hundreds of entries arrive in new york each year for prizes given in journalism, literature, and the arts. volunteer juries of experts spend days winnowing down the entries. the board members read every finalists entry and vote on a winner. it is with great pleasure then to presen

in fact, we also heard from the officer s father. he said that he was upset. he was nervous. he saw police cars racing down the road and sensed something was wrong. meanwhile the suspect is in custody tonight. crime scene investigators work the spot in northeast philadelphia park where suspect was picked up after allegedly stabbing a bensalem police officer then stealing his cruiser leading cops and pursuit. bensalem authorities say the suspect identified asthma that was miller was wanted for escaping a prison work release program and was stopped by officer michael, even complying at first but that changed. the individual got up and started fighting with the officer. he then lunched at the officer with a knife that he produced from his pock, and stabbed the officer in his stomach. the sound of ratchets on happened cuffs going on you, he may have had that moment of pause he wanted to take off. reporter: police say miller then stole the officer s police cruiser and raced in
