Reporter iain, first and for most then tire classroom of 20 first graders have been medically cleared tonight by doctors after their six year old classmate brought 11 bundles of heroin into the classroom. Tonight, her parents are pending charges. Narcotics detectives serving a search warrant on the West Philadelphia home of the six Year Old Girl police say brought bags of her row wip into class today at barry elementary. To know that a seven year old can bring heroin into a school is just crazy. Reporter one by one parents of first graders left Childrens Hospital after seeing doctors. They all got the disturbing call telling them their children may have been exposed to heroin. The entire First Grade Class was escorted on to schoolbus and taken to the hospital. They interviewed them. They had to assess them make sure they didnt have any drugs in their system. If they started acting funny to bring him back to the hospital. Reporter a first grade girl brought 11 bundles of heroin to school. It was discovered when the girl had one of those packs inside her mouth. One of the packages clearl cy looked like it was bitten and one student saying the young lady who did bring the stuff to school did have that packet in her mouth. Reporter the little girls mother and father were brought to southwest detectives for questioning just how the girl got the drugs and into school is under investigation. We do not frisk students, first graders were they come in to school. So the student probably had it somewhere concealed. But didnt know what it was. My kids wont be going back to barry next year. Thats one thing for sure, two for certain. They will not be stepping foot back in Barry Elementary School next your. Hes being held on 5 million bail and hes headed back to prison tonight. Words of anger from 23 year old Matthew Miller calling investigators liars as bensalem cops loaded him into a van hauling him away to prison after being charged with attempted murder of a Police Officer. Miller is accused of stabbing officer michael, after he was stopped tuesday afternoon. He didnt cooperate with us from the time the officer encountered him by his actions. Police say they were looking for miller who was suspected of escaping a prison work release program. The sounds of ratchet on handcuffs gone on you he may have had that moment of pause he want to take off. Reporter the stabbing happened at bristol pike and woodhaven road. Miller first complied with the officer arresting him but then snapped. The vehicle dumped at knights and fair dale where it was recovered by investigators but police say they were still on the hunt for miller who took off on foot. It happened around 7 30 at the foxwood apartments in new cast castle. Medic rushed a man and a woman to the hospital. Their conditions are not known. Also, no word yet if police are looking for a gunman. Police in northeast philadelphia continue to search for the person responsible for a soda machine explosion. Tonight investigators have one more piece of the puzzle. They released new video showing the person who they are looking for. Take look. Police believe thats the man who put the explosive inside the machine on the 4200 block of magee avenue on thursday night. Now, fortunately no one was injured in the blast. But the explosion caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. Parents rush to the scene of yet another school shooting. These are some of the emotional reunions between parents and students at oregon reynolds high school. Police say a teen gunman shot and killed one student and hurt a teacher. It happened this morning just after classes started. Police say the gunman was armed with a rifle and he shot and killed 14 year old freshman owe melia hoffman. They found the teen dead in the boys locker room. The attack panicked students after a lock down was order and they were told to go quite toll their classrooms. A delaware man arrested for soliciting text from teenager and trying to strangle her. Police arrested l Oliver Lee Hicks yesterday in dover. A friend Year Old Girl told an adult that hick said hed let her drive his vehicle in he can change for sex. Witnesses say he confronted the girl about it saying she was lying. And a physical confrontation escalated. Police say hicks grabbed the teenager around the neck and tried to choke her. Hicks is in jail tonight on 20,000 secured bond.
