.Gunmen kill seven in Kaduna fresh attack
No fewer than 17 persons, including the village head of Kaigar Malami, were kidnapped on Monday night when bandits attacked the village in the Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Residents of the community said that the village head, Mallam Kabir Ajiya, and his two sons were among 17 persons kidnapped.
It was learnt that the suspected bandits ransacked the village during which they also injured six men and rustled some cows.
According to the residents, the suspected bandits stormed the village at 9pm on Monday.
A resident who escaped to the nearby Danmusa town, Umar Abdulsalam, said many residents also escaped to surrounding communities.
