1. Former Minister of State for Education, Professor Jerry Agada is dead.
Agada was confirmed dead on Tuesday morning at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Makurdi, Benue State, aged 68.
2. The Government of Anambra State has suspended the activities of all night clubs in the State from Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
According to the State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C.Don Adinuba, the ban will last for one month, and would help stop close interaction among citizens and people from huge risk countries, who will be coming home for the Christmas and New Year celebration.
3. The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended five stalwarts of the party indefinitely.

.Gunmen kill seven in Kaduna fresh attack
No fewer than 17 persons, including the village head of Kaigar Malami, were kidnapped on Monday night when bandits attacked the village in the Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Residents of the community said that the village head, Mallam Kabir Ajiya, and his two sons were among 17 persons kidnapped.
It was learnt that the suspected bandits ransacked the village during which they also injured six men and rustled some cows.
According to the residents, the suspected bandits stormed the village at 9pm on Monday.
A resident who escaped to the nearby Danmusa town, Umar Abdulsalam, said many residents also escaped to surrounding communities.

The security situation in the country is not abating as kidnappers are having free days in several parts of the country with over 22 people reportedly kidnapped; eight killed and many injured between Sunday night and yesterday.
The head of Kaigar Malamai village, Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State, Kabir Abubakar, and 14 others were reportedly kidnapped by bandits in two different attacks carried out Monday night.
Also, suspected bandits reportedly abducted a nursing mother after killing a member of vigilante group at Falgore forest, Tudunwada Local Government Area of Kano State, Sunday night.

Residents of Katarma General area of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have informed the Kaduna State government that armed bandits have killed seven persons in Gbaja village.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Internal security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, on Tuesday.
According to the residents, the armed bandits killed Samson Hassan, Nuhu Hassan, Ali Hassan and Tsoho Wasa. Others killed were Gabriel Ahmadu, Dogara Sarki and Shekwolo Yohanna.
The residents also disclosed that Zamai Pada, Nuhu Bulus, Bani Sarki and Isa’ac Danjuma sustained injuries as a result of the attack.
