Katsina village head, 16 others kidnapped by suspected bandits

.Gunmen kill seven in Kaduna  fresh attack No fewer than 17 persons, including the village head of Kaigar Malami, were kidnapped  on Monday night  when bandits attacked the village  in the Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State. Residents of the community said that the village head, Mallam Kabir Ajiya, and his two sons were among 17 persons kidnapped. It was learnt that the suspected bandits ransacked the village during which they also injured six men and rustled some cows. According to the residents, the  suspected bandits stormed the village at 9pm on Monday. A resident who escaped to the nearby Danmusa town, Umar Abdulsalam, said many residents also escaped to surrounding communities.

Share Residents of Katarma General area of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have informed the Kaduna State government that armed bandits have killed seven persons in Gbaja village. This was contained in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Internal security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, on Tuesday. According to the residents, the armed bandits killed Samson Hassan, Nuhu Hassan, Ali Hassan and Tsoho Wasa. Others killed were Gabriel Ahmadu, Dogara Sarki and Shekwolo Yohanna. The residents also disclosed that Zamai Pada, Nuhu Bulus, Bani Sarki and Isa’ac Danjuma sustained injuries as a result of the attack.
