But i think it is something thats underrealized or viewed as sort of not serious. Theres a difference between being not serious and stupid. Its sort of data visualization. I think as that field grows it is going to become a bigger and bigger part of mainstream News Coverage and how we take issues and how we deliver them to people. Meets highway 237. Bob redell is live there. The work has stopped at the construction site. What do we know about the site . Reporter you can see why the work has stopped. A large portion of the crane is perched, resting on the corner of the Office Building that is under construction. Its just too dangerous to work near or underneath it. As you look to the left you can see how close the other section of the crane came to the Office Complex nextdoor that houses Dell Computer and a Company Called horton works. It missed those offices by about 20 to 30 feet. South bay construction, which is building the new sixstory Office Complex here at the Stadium Tech Center tells us that the crane fell at around 6 30 this morning. They are still looking into the cause. A worker on site wondered to us off camera if the crane operator had pulled the crane arm back too far to the point where it lost its balance and crumpled backwards over the cab. No one was hurt.
