live from the kgo broadcast center, this is abc7 news. good evening. thanks for joining us. we begin with a desperate rescue attempt in the waters off san francisco. a man fell off a cliff and despite a heroic effort, he was pronounced dead. sergio cantanna has our story. reporter: this was a swift and sizable effort to save a life. but it s a rescue that didn t end well. we retrieved the victim from the water, and he was transported by the coast guard to marin, a base for the coast guard. unfortunately, the adult male is deceased. reporter: at ft. baker, the body was driven away in a black van and officers with the national park place and ranger service, inspected evidence. they have not released any information how the man fell off the cliff or who he is. san francisco firefighters say the area where he fell in was not easy to get to. trails are marked for the safety of the people. you have to be careful to stay away from the edge. the water is pretty ro ....

good morning, everyone. i m carolyn tyler. thanks for joining us on this sunday, july 31st. let s start with a quick look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. carolyn. good morning. the fog this morning made it into the inland east bay but it s gun to erode. we have mild visibility half moon bay. it is sunny here in san jose with temperatures in san francisco with in the mid-50s. oakland 61. mid-50s morgan hill and half moon bay. look at the cloud cover here. it was brisdy earlier in san francisco and now we have the cloud cover just kind of sitting with temperatures in the low 60s to mid-50s. we will look for the clouds to erode around the bay by about 10:00 and then we will look for temperatures once again to be at five degrees cooler inland today. yesterday you saw some upper 90s. how about low 90s today and a seasonal outlook for august. that s coming up. carolyn. thank you, lisa. this morning san francisco authorities are trying to find out how ....
good morning, i m gigi stonewood. at least two people are dead, following severe storms in the plains. south central oklahoma was especially hard hit. this video captured a massive tornado, tearing through the town of wynnewood in garvin, county, oklahoma. the twister churned up deb brees, power lines knocked over and leveled through electric sparks into the air. national weather described it as large and extremely dangerous. this is all part of a single giant storm system causing havoc since this weekend. massive hail and tornados, from kansas, nebraska, colorado and flood anything texas. now it s heading east. what is the tornado going to do next? so we have threat here to the east for today. probably not as widespread or as intense as yesterday, but still, the severe weather threat is out there. this morning, thunderstorms moving through central tennessee, through nashville, airport delays here, but not severe. later on today, we ll be tracking an area in ohio vall ....
