Brett Roberts Tied For Lead at Folds of Honor Collegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Junior Brett Roberts fired a second-round 68 on Tuesday during another chilly day at the Folds of Honor Collegiate. His 6-under total score (70-68) gives him a tie for the lead as the Seminoles enter Wednesday’s final round at American Dunes Golf Club.

Florida State Men’s Golf trails only Illinois, as FSU is 4-over through two rounds of play while the Illini burst ahead with a 7-under showing so far. Liberty (7-over) and Arizona (7-over) are tied for third while Kansas (9-over) is in fifth place.

Roberts is tied with Liberty’s Jonathan Yaun for the tournament lead. The Coral Springs, Fla., native and two-time All-American last won a tournament at the 2022 NCAA Regional in West Palm Beach, shooting 7-under ....

Clemson in Sixth Place After First Round of Folds of Honor Collegiate

CLEMSON, S.C. Kian Rose shot  a one-under-par 71 to lead Clemson to a sixth-place team standing after the first round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Michigan.  The Tigers had a team score of six-over-par 294 in the opening round on the par 72 American Dunes Course that was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened just last year. This is the first Folds of Honor Collegiate Tournament and it is the first time Clemson has played any golf tournament in the state of Michigan. While Clemson stands in sixth place in the 18-team event, the Tigers are just seven shots behind first-place Florida State, and just four shots behind second place Liberty.   Illinois and Oregon State are tied for third at 292, while Arizona is fifth at 293, just one shot ahead of the Clemson in Sixth Place after First Round of  Folds of Honor Collegiate Tigers. Rose,  Clemson’s leader in stroke average this young season, had his 71 after  nine-hole scores of 35-36.  He made a bogey on the thir ....

Liberty Athletics teams show resilience, give fans historic 'Super Spring' » Liberty News

Coming off a year that many desire to forget, when spring sports came to a halt and many fall sports were delayed, Liberty University Athletics has given Flames fans worldwide a spring sports season for the ages, adding seven conference titles and counting to the trophy case.
In the Spring 2021 semester, all but one of Liberty’s 20 NCAA Athletics programs (football) competed as the university packed in almost a year’s worth of competition into one spring season, dubbing the busy schedule “Super Spring.”
And it was “super” in many ways. Liberty Athletics donned its highest number of ASUN Conference crowns this season, taking titles in Men’s Indoor Track & Field, Women’s Cross Country, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Golf, and Men’s Tennis. The Women’s Swimming & Diving team also claimed victory in the CCSA. ....
