February 22, 2021 PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Debold Sinas said on Monday, February 22, 2021, that they have sought the assistance of the Philippine Army and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in the manhunt against nine former policemen who are wanted for the killing of four soldiers in Jolo, Sulu. Sinas said they have provided the Philippine Army a copy of the arrest warrant against the nine policemen. “Our dialogue is still ongoing. Ang iba hesitant mag-surrender pero binigay na rin namin copy ng warrant of arrest sa Army para tulungan kami,” Sinas said in a press conference in Camp Crame. “Natakot sila mag-surrender because of their safety inspite of our promise to help them and to assist them dito (in Camp Crame) and assurance na dito lang sila sa Crame but of course ayaw naman nila so our manhunt is continue,” he added. ....

The court issued the arrest warrants on Thursday, said Prosecution Attorney Honey Delgado, spokesperson of the Office of the Prosecutor General. Delgado said the court is scheduled to hear prosecutors motion for a hold departure order (HDO) against the accused on Friday. Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra confirmed this and said the court also issued hold departure orders (HDO) against the accused. ....
SunStar + January 12, 2021 THE prevailing lockdown in the province of Sulu may have caused the delay in the issuance of arrest warrants against the nine dismissed policemen who were charged over the killing of four Army intelligence officers. Office of the Prosecutor General spokesperson Honey Delgado on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, said the courts in Jolo might not be operating at full capacity because of the lockdown. If Sulu is still on lockdown, the courts might not be operating in its full capacity may or may not slow down the process, she said in a message to reporters.
