The i95 corridor its between 8 oclock and 11 oclock but that cold air will be holding on a lot longer in our far north and west suburb. Dont get that changeover to rain until midday, between 11 oclock in the morning and 2 oclock in the afternoon and that ice could cause a lot of problems. This is the break down for that storm. The first part occurring Early Saturday Morning midday that snow to ice to rain. Saturday afternoon and saturday night we get a lull, just lots of clouds, some drizzle, some dense fog in the far northwest suburbs. Sunday its a rainy day and temperatures crash. Eight gardens, large and small, will be featured at the Holmes County Friends and Neighbors of OneEighty Garden Tour later this month. The tour will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 26, with a rain date of noon-6 p.m., Sunday, June 27. There also will be a silent auction of garden related items. A map of retail stores in Historic Downtown Millersburg will be provided along with the garden tour map. Many of the shops and restaurants will offer a percentage off their merchandise when shown a Garden Tour Ticket. Tickets are $20 and available at any of the garden stops, as well as at Rodhe’s IGA on Glenn Drive in Millersburg, Commercial & Savings Banks in Millersburg and Berlin and Killbuck Savings Bank in Killbuck. After 30 years in education, Darla Stitzlein will retire from her position as executive director of the Holmes County Education Foundation. Stitzlein is a strong advocate of education at all levels and is a life-long learner herself. Stitzlein has held the position for the past 22 years. Graduated from Ohio State University Prior to coming to the Foundation, Stitzlein obtained her bachelor’s degree in natural resources from The Ohio State University and she worked in the wildlife and soil and water conservation education fields for eight years. She educated youth and adult hunters and landowners on wildlife conservation while working for the Ohio Division of Wildlife. She continued educating students, farmers and landowners during her years with the Holmes County Soil and Water Conservation District. She enjoyed coordinating the annual Tom Graham fifth grade farm tour, teaching children about water quality at 4-H camps and outdoor education camps, and assisting farmers w ....
