Hit neighboring streets, tiffany common and water lily common. In all 34 car breakins. They were really quick. Within a little after 4 00 in between 4 00 a. M. And 4 28 they committed all these burglaries. Reporter neighbors reported a suspicious white car in the area. Police ran the plates. Turns out its tied to a stolen car in brentwood where police were investigating similar smash and gaps. Its unusual that many of the cars were broken into. Reporter brad davis passengerside window to his truck was shattered. Whats odd, they damaged a lot of cars, but not much was taken. The group appears to be from out of town and they have no idea why they targeted livermore or brentwood. Neighbors hope they dont return. I hope lightning doesnt strike twice, right . Theyve already hit us. Hopefully they wont be back again. Maybe theyve moved on to other areas. Reporter police do not have descriptions of the suspect, but they do have a description of the stolen car and they have their license plate ....
Have faith in the trees. Reporter senior martha diero was moving back into her dorms sunday morning when she heard about the tree accident. Despite her faith in trees this isnt the first one to come down. During the winter one of the other trees, the newer tree fell outside that building. I think the wind blew it over. Reporter her father is a bit more nervous for her and the other students. This is an old college. Obviously these trees were planted the same time this college was founded, so those are pretty concerning to me with the drought we had in california and with the wind they have up here, with the rain. Its a real concern especial especially with these big sequoias over here. Menlo College Officials decline to comment, but parents hope the college will trim back the remaining trees on campus.
