NEGAUNEE, MI – Thomas Gerald Chaudier, 70, of Lake St., Negaunee, passed away Monday afternoon, April 26, 2021, at his home.
Tom was born July 1, 1950, in Hancock to John and Gladys (Liimatainen) Chaudier, attended school in the L’Anse area, and married Karen A. Joki, in 1971. They relocated their family to Negaunee in 1975, where they raised their three children. Tom worked in maintenance for the Marquette Area Public Schools, retiring in 2001, after 20 plus years of service with the district. He also worked in auto body repair in various local repair shops.
In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, going to hunting camp with his brother-in-law, ‘Aug’, and taking an occasional trip to the casino. He had a big heart and was always willing to help anybody, from his closest friends to complete strangers. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren, always following their academic and athletic careers.
