Clemson Has 15 Athletes Qualify for Finals on Saturday

RALEIGH, N.C.  The Tigers put on another impressive performance on Friday, sending 15 entries to Saturday's championship races. Clemson ended the day with five points on the women's side, while the men had gathered 11 points. Action will resume on Saturday at 2 p.m. and conclude following the men's 4x400 meter relay at 8:40 p.m. FULL RESULTS FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Oneka Wilson (13.33) and Antoinette Van der Merwe (13.41) both qualified for the 100 meter hurdles finals. Wilson, a freshman, won the 60 meter hurdles ACC Indoor Championship in February. Giano Roberts (13.44) and Jevon Williams (13.79) both qualified for the 110 meter hurdles finals. Roberts won the 60 meter hurdles National Championship in March. KK Gadson's 53.06 400 meter run time earned her a spot in the finals. Tigers Start Strong at ACC's – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

RALEIGH, N.C.  Competition began at the 2023 Outdoor ACC Championship Meet on Thursday with Clemson putting up several strong efforts on the first day. Three Tigers made their way onto All-ACC teams, while six punched their ticket to the finals of their events. Action will resume on Friday at 11 a.m. RESULTS THURSDAY HIGHLIGHTS Daniel Cope threw a school record 64.67 meters in the hammer throw to finish third in the conference and earn First Team All-ACC honors. Shantae Foreman finished fifth in the long jump, leaping 6.12 meters and earning a spot on the All-ACC Second Team. Ethan Cocco threw a personal best 65.64 meter javelin throw to finish fifth and earn a spot on the All-ACC Second Team. Lashanna Graham (56.89) and KK Gadson (57.17) finished second and third in the 400 meter hurdle prelims to qualify for finals. Tigers Shine on Friday at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas  The Clemson track and field program had another stellar day on Friday at Texa Relays, highlighted by the men's sprint medley relay team earning the victory. Action will resume on Saturday, the final day of the meet, at 12:40 p.m. with the women's 4x800 meter relay. FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS The men's sprint medley relay team of Wanya McCoy, Cameron Rose, Tarees Rhoden and Aman Thornton won the race with a time of 3:14.02. McCoy ran a personal best 10.04 in the 100 meter dash to advance to the finals at 5:25 p.m. tomorrow, however the time will not count on the Clemson top-10 list due to wind. The men's 4x100 meter relay of Giano Roberts, Cameron Rose, Guinove Joanus and Wanya McCoy qualified for finals with a time of 39.80 seconds. They will compete tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Oneka Wilson ran a 13.27 in the 100 meter hurdles to qualify for tomorrow's finals at 4:20 p.m. Antoinette Van der Merwe's 13.25 did not qualify, but would have placed her at No. ....

Clemson Runs Wild on Thursday of Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas  The Clemson track and field program had an excellent day on Thursday at the Texas Relays, as four Tigers set top-10 marks. The team will return to action on Friday at 11:35 a.m. with the women's 4x100 meter relay. HIGHLIGHTS Marie Forbes continued her excellent stretch of competitions by setting the No. 2 mark in school history in the women's hammer throw. Her throw of 64.91 meters was good for fourth place and No. 8 in the country this season. Daniel Cope moved to No. 3 in school history with a hammer throw of 62.75 meters. Lashanna Graham moved from the No. 10 spot to No. 6 in the women's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 57.17 seconds. She qualified for tomorrow's finals scheduled for 7:35 p.m. Jevon Williams broke the 50 second barrier for the first time in the men's 400 meter hurdles and moved up to No. 3 in school history with a time of 49.94 seconds. He will compete in tomorrow's finals at 7:40 p.m. ....
