Norwalk Public Library’s “One Book One Community” Zoom discussion group will be open to the public 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday May 10, according to a press release. The topic will be Marcelo Hernandez Castillo’s well-reviewed memoir
Children of the Land, in which Mexican-born Castillo, who entered the U.S. with his parents at age five, recalls his often difficult journey from undocumented status to earning a Master’s degree at University of Michigan.

Anthony Jackson admits to growing up thrifting and yard sale-ing. “It’s hereditary,” said Jackson. “I always sold things to raise money for missions, but felt limited,” he said. “I knew that if I could do it on a bigger scale, I can help so many more.”
Jackson said he was approaching a milestone birthday last fall and decided that no matter what life had in store for him, he wanted to finish strong.
