this afternoon for a couple of hours. on the upper deck when it was taken over by a 50 car caravan. that s just west of treasure island about 00:45pm tonight chp finally got things moving again. and the bay bridge protests. well it wasn t the only demonstration in san francisco today. this is video along the embarcadero a lot of people making their way under the bay bridge and on the bay bridge an all around the bay. some of that caravan of protesters also made their way through to the richmond district today here you can see the group many of them with their bicycle some even with their dogs marching through the streets chanting, black lives matter. all these protests of course happening while the city of atlanta is now protesting the death of yet another young black man at the hands of police 27 year-old rush art brooks he was killed by police friday. at the wendy s restaurant tell you see on your screen happened saturday night the building was destroyed by a fire. and n

hottest night of the year. pepco confirmed pour outages and the heat and humidity could be factors. our garrett haake has been on the story all evening talked with affected residents and businesses. he s live in northeast. garrett? reporter: debra, thankfully the power is finally back on here in northeast for all but a few dozen people who might still be without it. for a while tonight, though, there were more than 4,000 people across the district without electricity. pepco says the first outage tonight in northwest was not caused by the heat, but regardless of what caused it all these people had to deal with the high temperatures. at andre jones home in upper northwest the power went off just like that. the next thing we know, bam. you know, so i ran downstairs. i thought maybe it was a breaker. reporter: jones was one of more than 2,000 pepco customers in northwest to lose power around 7 p.m. he and his kids couldn t stay indoors after that. very, very, very ho
