My name is gary schmitt and im a resident scholar and i direct the Maryland Center for Security Studies here at aei. Todays event which is being cosponsored by the federal society as a Panel Discussion of john yoos latest book point of attack preventive war, International Law and global warfare. Our format today is going to be quite simple. John will start off with an overview of the books thesis and then we will follow up with our panelists comments and i might throw in a pointer point or two as well.
