PETALING JAYA: Selangor recorded the highest number of new Covid-19 infections with 415 cases from the country’s total of 1,510.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 326 of the cases were detected from the existing clusters and close contact screenings.
“Sarawak had 296 new cases while 171 were recorded in Kelantan. With 1,510 new cases, the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country is 359,117.
“Of the new cases, 1,505 cases were locally transmitted while five were imported cases.
“A total of 1,248 people have recovered, bringing the cumulative discharge cases to 342,737, ” he said yesterday.
Dr Noor Hisham said the total number of active cases in the country stood at 15,059 cases.
PETALING JAYA: Nine new Covid-19 clusters were recorded on Saturday (April 10), says the Health Ministry.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said six of the nine clusters were linked to the workplace while the remaining three were from the community.
Johor recorded two new clusters known as the Jalan Kempas Satu cluster and the Jalan Padu Industri cluster.
Similarly, Selangor also recorded two new clusters; the Industri Jalan Kebun cluster and the Kampung Kelanang cluster.
Sarawak also detected two new clusters known as the Pujut Satu cluster, and the Jalan Kapitan cluster.
Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu each recorded one new cluster known as the Bandar Baru Kubang Kerian cluster, Jalan Tun Ismail cluster and the Kampung Tanjung, respectively.
