PETALING JAYA: Nine new Covid-19 clusters were recorded on Saturday (April 10), says the Health Ministry. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said six of the nine clusters were linked to the workplace while the remaining three were from the community. Johor recorded two new clusters known as the Jalan Kempas Satu cluster and the Jalan Padu Industri cluster. Similarly, Selangor also recorded two new clusters; the Industri Jalan Kebun cluster and the Kampung Kelanang cluster. Sarawak also detected two new clusters known as the Pujut Satu cluster, and the Jalan Kapitan cluster. Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu each recorded one new cluster known as the Bandar Baru Kubang Kerian cluster, Jalan Tun Ismail cluster and the Kampung Tanjung, respectively. ....
PUTRAJAYA (Jan 6): Malaysia today recorded 13 new clusters, the highest number in a day so far, with 10 of these involving workplaces in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor and Sabah, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. He said the 10 clusters were the Dataran Utas, Casa Permai, Firma, Persiaran Teknologi, Bersepadu, Jalan Padu, Kampung Pitas, Ikan Emas, Kayuh and Jalan Seputeh. The clusters were identified through targeted screening at workplaces as well as screening of symptomatic individuals and close contacts, he said. “Dataran Utas Cluster involves Petaling district, Selangor with 66 COVID-19 positive cases detected today following targeted screening at a company. ....

Other records set are for the highest number of active Covid-19 cases, the highest number of intubated patients, the highest number of patients requiring intensive care and highest number of clusters classified in a day. Selangor logged the largest number of new cases followed by Johor and Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Kelantan and Kedah all logged more than 40 new cases. In Selangor, more than half the cases appear to be from the existing Seri Lanang cluster which had 509 cases alone but is limited to the Kapar district. Another 85 cases were from the Teratai cluster. Both originated from workplaces. ....
