Former Umno warlord Isa Samad was sentenced to six years jail yesterday, after he was convicted of corruption by the Malaysian High Court. The case centred on a hotel deal inked while he was in charge of Malaysia s key land development agency, the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda). Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali found the former politician guilty on nine counts of receiving gratification amounting to RM3 million between 2014 and 2015. Isa was also fined RM15.45 million (S$5.09 million). He was granted a stay of execution for the sentence, pending an appeal, and was ordered to post bail of RM1.5 million by today. He was also ordered to report to the nearest police station once a month until the conclusion of his appeal. ....

In a circular issued by the Bar Council to all members of the Bar on Friday (Jan 22), Chief Judge of Malaya Azahar Mohamed directed the transfer of Justice Nazlan from the Kuala Lumpur High Court (Criminal 3) to Kuala Lumpur High Court from March 1, Malaysiakini news site reported on Saturday. The transfer Justice Nazlan to the civil court is to replace a retiring judge, the Chief Registrar s Office said on Saturday (Jan 23), as reported by The Star newspaper. ....

The Chinese have organised system for very quietly and smoothly dealing with corrupt money, it looks like non of the fcuking angels are involved in underhand practices, through, usually middle men and women, again, mostly Chinese, dirty money flows nicely through the veins of the corrupt network. ....
