An internal investigation has cleared a Des Moines Police shooting. Vanessa miller shot 28yearold ryan bolinger. Who was unarmed. When he charged her squad car. It all started with a traffic stop. Reporter it started out on a night out on the town. Its unclear how many drinks the 40yearold woman had but by the end of the night she took a cab home. The cab driver needed help getting the victim out of the car so he just flagged down a vehicle that was driving by. A mom and her teenaged son helped carry the victims upstairs and into her bedroom. Police say that same 16year old boy came back a short time later and raped her. Sources tell kpix5 the victim was semi conscious and aware during the assault and quote played possum.
