Much-needed relief coming to Iowa arts and entertainment groups

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) — The creative sector in Iowa has lost an estimated $46.4 million since the pandemic began, leaving many in need of assistance.
To ease that burden, the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs has provided $7 million in CARES Act funding to organizations across the state. Locally, the Pottawattamie Arts, Culture and Entertainment organization received relief in the amount of $21,800.
Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs Director Chris Kramer said the funding is important as the state s economy rebounds from the impacts of the pandemic. ....
