Estonian politicians favor reducing price of CO2 quotas

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has proposed freezing the price of CO2 quotas between €25 and €30 per ton. The price of emission allowances in the European emissions trading system (EU ETS) recently reached a record high of €96 euros per ton. Estonian policymakers agree that the price of emission allowances could be reduced.

Estonian prime minister dismisses junior coalition partner from government

The junior coalition partner Center Party and its seven ministers were dismissed from the government by Prime Minister Kaja Kallas (Reform) on Friday after weeks of political deadlock. Reform will now start negotiations with Isamaa and SDE.
