But on this friday in september, Reggie Jackson was talking about the importance of science and Technology Education to students of color. And as a minority, you do not get a fair opportunity. You do not get a fair shake. But sometimes you do get a little star power, money from Silicon Valley, and input from a local Community College to help give these kids a nudge along the way. The focus on technology because theres such a significant lack of any kind of minority population in technology. Its true that africanamericans and latinos make up less than 5 of employees at the major Tech Companies. This initiative hopes to help change that.
