Is blocked after the Supreme Court refuses to step in. A live report from washington with more on the overnight ruling. Plus, a new warning from east bay Health Officials. The restaurant where people may have been exposed to measles. Also, the symptoms you need to watch out for. And today is the first full day of spring. Meteorologist kari hall is tracking your midweek forecast. This is today in the bay. Hello, spring. Good wednesday morning. Its my favorite season. Now the rain is going to come. Im laura garcia. And im marcus washington. Of course well check on the roads in just a bit. Lets talk about spring. It is here, the first full day of school, youve got your new outfit on. Something bright. Its one of those days. Its going to be really nice outside. Weve been talking about rain coming back, we need that, too, to give us more of those beautiful spring flowers coming out. So were seeing a nice, clear view this morning as you get started in San Francisco. We are at 52 degrees. So a cool morning. But it will gradually start to warm up as we get more sunshine, and were headed for the low 60s here today. But as you look farther inland, were going to see those highs headed for the upper 60s and low 70s. Still pretty nice. Were going to see a high of 71 in san jose, 68 in martinez. Were going to be in the upper 60s for the north bay. And then looking at our temperatures tomorrow, still about the same, so still pretty nice, with a few of us reaching into the low 70s. But then by the end of the week those temperatures start dropping and thats going to be the trend for the weekend. Well talk more about that rain coming back. Mike, you have activity near the san mateo bridge. We do. Were looking toward the bridge itself. On the span, everything moves smoothly. On the peninsula side there was a crash that just cleared from 101, in the northbound direction there on the peninsula side. Then in the east bay, we did hear about a crash southbound 880 just past the interchange, so heading south past the span. It doesnt sound like there are any lanes block. Ill track that. All the bridges, a smooth drive. We do have in the south bay one incident cleared from northbound 680, there may be a disabled vehicle on 85. But the south bay flows smoothly and you have a much bigger issue that happened overnight. Sadly, new overnight a pedestrian is hit and killed on the freeway in the south bay. It happened about 9 30 last night on northbound 101 just south of mckee road in san jose. For a short time, at least two lanes were closed, but now theyre back open. This is the second incident in five days on south bay freeways to involve a pedestrian. This morning, a Health Warning from officials in the east bay after a potential measles exposure at a local restaurant. Today in the bays thom jensen is live for us in san leandro at sons of liberty. And, thom, this is where the exposures are being investigated. And as i understand, this happened a couple of weekends ago, right . Reporter thats right. Good morning, marcus and laura. And this is something that Health Officials had declared eliminated more than a quarter of a century ago, but it has been making a comeback in the u. S. After years of increasing, really, antivaxx nation sentiment here and the bay area is not immune from this measles comeback. Health Officials Say the exposures may have happened at the sons of liberty ale house restaurant on march 9th between the hours of 4 45 p. M. And 7 30 that same night. If you visited the restaurant, they want to hear from you, especially people who have not been vaccinated or who had children at the restaurant who are not vaccinated against measles, anyone who has a weakened immune system and pregnant women are also urged to see a doctor. The cdc says theres been a dramatic measles increase in the u. S. And globally. 58 cases so far this year in the united states. Thats equal to the entire number from all of the cases for the full year last year, a leading disease expert says Alameda County did the right thing of issuing the alert so people can watch for symptoms like fever, runny nose, sore throat and rashes. Were beginning to worry were going to use whats called elimination status in the united states, were having reluctance about vaccination and thats adding up to the measles cases. Its a combination of increasing rates of missing childhood vaccinations and then imported rates and then local transmission. Reporter you may remember about a week ago Uc Davis Medical Center had to contact and warn hundreds of people that may have been exposed to measles as a child with a confirmed case had visited an Emergency Room Department in sacramento. Most cases reported have been among children age 12 months and older, who had not received the vaccine. Its not available for children until after 12 months old. So this is a good recommendation. Measles was declared eliminated in the year 2000, but is making this comeback and the cdc is urging parents to have their children vaccinated. Were live in san leandro, thom jensen, today in the bay. Thom, thank you. A followup for you on that breaking news we followed all morning yesterday here on today in the bay. Thats where the wrongway crash in the macarthur maze that killed one driver and caused a huge traffic backup. The two injured suspects facing multiple charges. Investigators say they burglarized an el cerrito smoke shop in an overnight smashandgrab, driving the truck into the outlet store, stealing thousands of dollars in Tobacco Products and that led to a chase on interstate 80 and eventually the crash which happened on the 580 connecter ramp heading to the toll plaza. Now, the driver who died has not yet been identified. New developments this morning, the fight over a controversial texas Immigration Law, late last night a federal Appeals Court put a halt on the states plan to enforce the law and that happened hours after the u. S. Supreme court said the law would take effect. Clearly a lot to unpack. Lets check in with brie jackson live in washington this morning. The legal battle is really far from over. Reporter yes, thats right. Good morning, laura. So because that same Appeals Court that blocked the law last night will hear new arguments on the case later today, the white house is calling texas Immigration Law unconstitutional, while republican Texas Governor greg abbott is calling the Supreme Court ruling a positive development. The law is known as sb4 and a threejudge panel last night blocked it from taking effect. It allows local and state authorities to arrest migrants who cross the border illegally and also empowers state judges to deport people to mexico. But mexico is not required to accept any migrants, except mexicans, so its unclear where those deportees would go. Supreme Court Justices have agreed to allow it to be enforced, putting the ball back in the Appeals Court. Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently told nbc news the law does follow the constitution. What the constitution does, it gives authority to states to be able to act when the federal government refuses to act. Reporter the Biden Administration argues sb4 conflicts with federal Immigration Law and states have no authority to legislate immigration issues. And while arrests for illegal border crossings on the southern border hit record highs in december, they did fall by half in january. The order blocking sb4 will stay in effect until the Appeals Court considers its legality. A virtual hearing on that question is scheduled for this morning. Obviously one well be continuing to follow for quite some time. Thank you very much. Well, a new temporary leader is now in charge of the embattled South Bay School district following an abrupt firing of the district superintendent just six days ago. Late last night in a closed door session, alum rock bored members voted to appoint dr. Imee almazan as the new interim superintendent. She is currently the director of student services. It comes after the board abruptly fired Hilaria Bauer last tuesday. During a meeting, attendees were divided on the decision to fire bauer. The board president says her replacement will listen to parents needs, as well as focus on all schools. Shes been here for many years now, she has that relationship not just with our community, but also our staff. Shes trusted, shes a trusted leader, and she has already gotten us through some very difficult times. While some praised the change, others are angry over what they believe was a lack of transparency. Dr. Almazan takes over her new rule starting next week. Halfway through that workweek, and the first full day of spring as we take a live look outside overlooking San Francisco. Look at that moon in the distance. Competing with the trans america tower. The moon is setting and were able to see it this morning. Yesterday we had some low clouds and we still may see some clouds drifting around parts of the bay area. Looking at all of our cameras, were in the upper 40s and low 50s. It is 52 in oakland, one of the warmer spots. But were in the low 50s in san jose as well. And so were starting out with needing a jacket. Its a cool morning, but then as we go throughout the day, another gorgeous one with some very mild temperatures, well above normal. Were about 6 degrees above whats normal for this date in san jose with a high of 71, and were headed for the low 70s for much of the east bay. In antioch this afternoon, 74 degrees, and some upper 60s for fremont and hayward. About the same in palo alto, San Francisco 60s and upper 60s for the north bay. These numbers coming down slightly compared to what we had the last few days and that will be the trend going into the weekend. Well talk about cooler weather and rain in our weekend forecast later. Where can we find lower gas prices . I found one, an outlier below 4 bucks, san leandro, now on the ten best list in the state. This is over at u. S. Gas on washington avenue in san leandro. Second up, we have Santa Clara County and the city, 4. 37 at platinum gas on washington street. And the third price, santa clara beats out San Francisco only by a penny. Its 4 38 at 76 on valencia street. A look at the roadways, the roadways are moving smoothly. We want to point out the issue we saw on 85, southbound, theres a disabled vehicle that might be affecting the folks joining the freeway. Youll see the flashing lights and that will distract you at the offramp for union. No major issues coming into San Francisco not san jose, i put the wrong sign, its the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay bridge moves smoothly right now. Thanks, mike. 5 12 right now. Jetblue is switching up flights. Ahead on today in the bay, the routes being eliminated and the impact this will have on your next booking. In business and tech, we have both chips and guac, sadly no breakfast burrito. Its kind of condescending. Its an insult followed by a compliment. A new trend taking over the internet. The socalled short king summer. Its all ahead and the coffee its all ahead and the coffee giant is cashing in with a new you made a cow actually its a piggy bank. My inspiration to start saving. How about a more solid way to save . Im listening. Well, bmo helps get your savings habit into shape with a cash reward, every month you save. Both cash reward . And theres a cash bonus when you open a new Checking Account to get you started. Wow. Anything you cant do . mugs. Bmo good wednesday morning. It is 5 15. Lets get a look at our day planner in concord, starting out with some upper 40s. It will be a mostly clear morning. Then going into the afternoon, a few clouds in the mix, but its going to be very comfortable with highs near 70 degrees. We will have a cooling trend and eventually rain comes back, so well talk about that in your weekend plans in a few minutes. Right now 880 moves smoothly, great conditions. Here is oakland by the coliseum, headlights north past the high street highrise toward the bay bridge toll plaza. All having no problem along that stretch. Well, good morning. Very happy wednesday. The federal open markets committee wraps up its Interest Rate meeting today. We do expect them to do nothing. But what they say about that nothing could affect the market, so maybe well get some idea as to when rate cuts will come. Also, take a look at this price for chipotle, 2,797. Were going to talk about this later. Keep this number in mind, that it has a comma. Intel, meanwhile, the white house will announce later today an 8. 5 billion grant to the chipmaker to make chips in arizona. The president will make that announcement during a visit to chandler, arizona, just outside phoenix. Its the biggest grant yet under the bipartisan chips bill. We may have invented chips here in silicon valley, but most chips are now made overseas these days, and washington wants to fix that. Speaking of chips, the big nvidia conference continues today in san jose, all centered around ai. Nvidia started as a company to make chips and boards for researchers or for video gamers, but researchers figured out they could do the complex math they need to do. Whether thats advanced robotics, autonomous vehicles, whether thats ai agents or chatbots that are more intelligent, that increasingly understand human interactions and empathy, nvidia is using its technology and its capability and its Processing Power to bring applications to just about every industry. The ceo of nvidia delivered his keynote speech monday at the s. N. A. P. Center. A reporter for the wall street journal pointed out he attracted a bigger crowd than professional wrestling, certain more than the sharks. You remember the stock price for chipotle. Almost 2,800 a share. That high price makes it hard for the average investor to buy shares or a share, so chi bolt is planning a 50 1 stock split that will cut the price to 1 50th of the current price, people who own currently get 49 more shares. Its a lot like a pizza, you can cut it into a certain number of slices. You cut it into 50 slices, but as long as everyone gets the same, it doesnt matter. Its just smaller pieces. I didnt realize that stock was so high. Most people cannot invest 2,700 in a single share of stock. But cut it by 50 and youre good. Slicing up the burrito this morning. Exactly. Thanks, scott. New this morning, jetblue is reducing flights as it faces some financial struggles. It comes after a federal judge rejected the merger of jetblue with spirit airlines. Starting midjune, the airline will drop flights to seattle skpl miami and end flights between fort lauderdale, atlanta and detroit. Flights to south america are also being dropped. Trending this morning, dunkin is celebrating short king spring. Here is snl explaining for us. Its april, and that can only mean one thing, the celebration of short men that the internet has dubbed short king spring. So in honor of the season, dunkin is offering a drink called the short king that is a small iced coffee. Just remember the drink only lasts so long and you can only get the short king until tuesday. I had to look it up. Come on, now. Short king is a man 58 and under who has a great personality. Ive been telling you that all along, marcus. You cant hear me up there when im talking to you. [ laughter ] im the short king being honored. Absolutely. Your personality is so big, i would never notice. Thank you, until tuesday. [ laughter ] a short reign. They make it a thing to sell drinks. Were going to need an iced coffee today . I think so. Maybe this afternoon. Im still going for the hot coffee this morning. Its cool to start and this is the first full day of spring, and its still going to be sunny and mild. The weather we had yesterday is basically on repeat today. I think most of us will take it. Now, tomorrow its also going to be mostly sunny and comfortable. But the weekend we see changes, wet and chilly temperatures, and were going to see some off and on showers in the forecast. As the sevenday comes up at the bottom of the screen, check out the trend. Were going from low 70s today in the south bay to low 60s for the weekend. Were up to 71 in san jose, 73 in morgan hill and san martin, and in novato, 66 degrees, about the same in oakland, 62 in san mateo. So in a lot of spots still jacket weather near the coast and up and down the peninsula. But were going to see about the same temperatures tomorrow, still near 70 degrees, and then it cools down on friday, even more so for the weekend, as this system comes in we can see it really organizing out there in the pacific and we can see that long line of clouds that will be getting closer. Well gradually start to see more clouds moving in between now and friday, and then by friday evening scattered showers will be moving in. It looks like its mostly in the afternoon to late evening. And then another wave of rain coming in on saturday afternoon, and then another one right behind that on sunday. Its not going to be raining the entire weekend, but its going to be kind of off and on and that extends into early next week. Some of our models are showing these areas in red near the coast, parts of the north bay could see about 1 to 2 inches of rainfall in total. And then some of the yellow shadings that we have in the interior valleys, thats about 1 2 to 3 4 of an inch of rain. For the sierra, there could be a decent amount of snow over the weekend, potentially a foot or 2 feet in some spots, and then even more next week. Were going back to winter now that its officially spring, and we have a couple of more days of some nice spring weather with highs in the low 70s today and tomorrow. Then that cooldown starts this weekend. Mike, there was a hazard in san jose . Reports of this here, south bay 680 right around the mckee alum rock area. Reports someone pulled over because a rock went through their windshield. I dont know if it kicked up or if it was perhaps another source. I will get more detail hopefully from chp and let you know any more information. Southbound 85 has a disabled vehicle at the union exit there. We are looking toward 880, more information, this issue, this crash, this car is not only off of the roadway, its off of the roadway into the side area. So about 30 feet. Theres some fence damage. Youll see some activity but no slowing and the volume very light. Well track that throughout Contra Costa County, no problems. Vasco road, only 19 minutes toward Alameda County. Back to you. 5 23. We continue to celebrate womens history month. I just sat down with people and asked them to tell me their story. Ahead on today in the bay, we introduce you to a journalist whose stories are part of a new next. Next. Stop. We got it . No. Keep going. Again. [ gasps ] next. If you dont pick one, i. Get exceptional offers at your local audi dealer. As we celebrate womens history month, we give you a reason to visit Sonoma County that has nothing to do with wine, but everything to do with a remarkable journalist whose gift is knowing a good story. Sonoma county stories is the museum of Sonoma Countys newest permanent exhibit, a collection of stories collected by a veteran Santa Rosa Press democrat columnist back when only the biggest stories were captured on video. While she talked with Sonoma County newsmakers, she talked with regular folks, too. I talked to people who had what might have been regarded at the time as little stories to tell, and those are the ones that tickled me the most. There was a man named raphael morales, when i knew him, he was the foreman of a vineyard, a winery. In this interview, gayle got his perspective on the program that allowed him as a mexican citizen to work in the u. S. Legally, which put his son in a position to earn a full scholarship to harvard. You can experience 70 of her Sonoma County stories at the museum of Sonoma County wednesday through sunday afternoons. Pretty cool. Thanks, laura. Next, here are the top stories were following, including making our cities more walkable. The new pedestrian bridge set to open in the east bay. And here is a live look for you this morning in downtown san jose. Were tracking the seasons projected forecast. Meteorologist kari hall is going to break it all down for us. Much more ahead. I was a medic in the army. Ive seen my share. But this right here is beyond my comprehension. Right now at 5 30, a new turn in a tragic story. The woman accused of slamming her suv into a San Francisco bus stop reveals her feelings about what happened. Also, ahead in a live report, the latest on the one surviving victim, a 3monthold baby. A razor thin race. The narrow margin between two candidates seeking to fill the seat of house lawmaker anna eshoo. And dont forget to get your ticket if youre feeling lucky. Tonights Mega Millions jackpot soars to extreme heights. This is today in the bay. Lucky winning wednesday. What if youre not feeling lucky . Just buy one, anyway, maybe your luck will turn. Good morning to you. Im marcus washington. And im laura garcia. Lets start with a look at the forecast. Everyone is a winner on this one. Meteorologist kari hall is tracking what we can expect. Hasnt it been nice . It really has. Its been great. And, unfortunately, this is not the weather thats going to hold for the weekend, so we are going to enjoy it while its here. Our temperatures start out this morning in the mid40s for palo alto, but it is 49 in dublin and concord. As we take a look at what to expect in livermore, going from upper 40s to a noontime temperature of 65 at noon, and then upper 60s for much of the afternoon. In san jose, 71 degrees, so its not the mid to upper 70s weve seen, but a gradual cooldown is coming our way, getting closer to the weekend. Well talk more about that. Mike, youre saying the bridges are seeing more traffic. In fact, it looks like these folks waited for their camera time. Across the Golden Gate Bridge, no traffic break right now. You can see at the top, the little lights coming out of the Robin Williams tunnel. Smooth flow across the Golden Gate Bridge and a nice drive across the bay bridge. Slowing a bit on the incline. Ive circled at the top approaching the carquinez bridge theres reports of a fender bender but no detail on the impact location. Speed sensors are okay. Its starting to build for concord, highway 4 and 37 out of vallejo, and of course the Altamont Pass has slowing. Down vasco road we dont have any major problems, the sensors are reading a little slower. Im going to make sure theres no problem as youre heading toward dalton. A San Francisco neighborhood is grieving the tragic loss of three victims in a fatal crash at a bus stop. The heartbreak is growing as we learn more about the family killed and the questions that remain. Today in the bays Ginger Conejero saab is live for us in San Francisco this morning. Ginger, this accident, this story has impacted so many people. Reporter it really has, marcus and laura. A Statement Released also says that miss lau and her family join the community in mourning the tragic loss of life that occurred in west portal. The San Francisco medical examiner is identifying the victims as 40yearold diego de oliveira, his wife and their 1yearold son joaquin. Their other child, a 3monthold baby is listed in lifethreatening condition at a local hospital. The father was a brazilian citizen and the family had been living in San Francisco. They were waiting at the bus stop when a car hit them. That bus stop has now grown into a memorial with stuffed animals, pictures and flowers for the three victims. Definitely hits home, just shows you how life is very precious. Its just so sad, a family. All at once, at one time. Reporter the sfmt aboard of directors also addressing this tragedy last night. The chair of the board asking the public not to rush to judgment during an emotional time. Marcus and laura, the investigation into this continues, we continue to see the impact, as does processing just how tragic the loss of life was in this situation. Very, very devastating. And now you have an infant that will never know the parents. Its so sad. Thanks, ginger. It is 5 35 right now. Developing right now, were hoping to get an update this morning from the chp after a possible freeway shooting. Here is what we know. The investigation itself shut down all westbound lanes of interstate 80 in richmond last night near mcbryde avenue. Officers tell us someone walked into a nearby hospital with a non lifethreatening injury, saying they were shot on the freeway. Lanes reopened after about one hour. A San Francisco man with a long and complicated criminal history appears to be wanted by police again just days after being released from jail. So were talking about james durgin, the central figure of our streaming series saving San Francisco. Now, the show explored situations to Serious Problems plaguing our city, over the years durgin has been caught on camera returning to that same neighborhood in the presidio. Thats where hes been accused of trying to break into a home and cars, and at times showing up naked. Ann ray has a restraining order against him and tells us the City Probation Department called her yesterday to say that he left the Transitional Housing Center he was assigned to, violating his probation, something hes done several times before. She says she was told a warrant would be issued for his arrest. The adult Probation Department in charge of keeping tabs on durgin is not commenting. You can watch all six episodes of saving San Francisco right now on our website. You can stream it as well on peacock, roku, samsung tv and more. Turning to decision 2024, votes are still being counted in the highprofile congressional race in san mateo and santa clara counties. The latest update shows two candidates separated by just two votes. This is the runoff to replace longtime congresswoman anna eshoo. Former mayor sam liccardo will advance to the general election but his competitor is razor thin. Evan low leads joe simitian by just two votes. Theres still about 2,000 ballots left to count. Whoever comes in second place will face liccardo in the november election. Our political analyst Larry Gersten says this is a rare situation. I imagine somewhere around 100,000 votes have been cast, you dont expect it to be this close. Thats unusual. In a smaller district, sure. But this is a large Congressional District and for that reason, this is quite unusual. Gersten also says it could be a few weeks to a month before that race is decided. Also, the third place candidate could ask for a recount and would have to pay for it. Or the governor could order a recount and the district and state would cover the cost. Happening today in brentwood, Contra Costa County celebrates the opening of a new bicycle and pedestrian overcrossing. Here is photos of the new 850 foot bridge crossing. This is the photos of the new area there, this is crossing highway 4. Its located near jeffrey way and amber lane. Later today leaders will hold a ribboncutting ceremony and first walk across the bridge. Now, this is all going to get under way at 10 00 this morning. It should be a first ride. I like the sound of that. I like the sound of this, the jackpot just keeps growing. Chaching. Definitely that. Powerball and Mega Millions jackpot prizes still up for grabs. Mind blown. Mega millions jackpot, 977 million. You need to get your ticket for the next drawing before friday. Powerball drawing is tonight. That prize is a measly 687 million, with a cash value of 327. 3 million. Just dreaming for a moment. You take that moment to go, like, wow every dream youve ever had, there you go. Were all feeling lucky with this forecast, at least lately. The start of spring has been nice and its going to change a little bit. Ive seen a lot of clovers here recently and i havent yet found a Fourleaf Clover but im still searching. We are going to get some rain on the garden this weekend, but were still enjoying the sunshine that we have right now. As we take a live look outside in san jose, lets talk about what to expect going into the morning, as well as the afternoon. So were starting out with upper 40s at 8 00, and then by noon were in the mid60s and headed for the upper 60s, low 70s. Notice that there will be a few clouds at times as we go into today, but still very pleasant temperatures, with some upper 60s expected in parts of the trivalley, into the north bay, napa today, headed for 68 degrees. So well talk about whats ahead in a few minutes. Mike, youve been watching the roads and a couple of issues are popping up. Were looking at the bay bridge, no metering lights just yet. Im looking at the incline and it looks pretty smooth. The sensors are starting to slow a little bit. Look at this beautiful view and the steady drive toward San Francisco across the span. Here are the slowing sensors, just past the toll plaza. No metering lights registering yet, and traffic is held up just about powell. We hear about a crash. We do see sensors slowing. You also slowing out of vallejo for westbound 37. There is slowing toward the san mateo bridge and the crash just about 880 and 92 is off of the shoulder, the roadway, but may be visible. Possible distraction. In the south bay we have the northbound 101 with the slight build, typical about this time of day as traffic flows through the area. The sensors are updating, and we have slowing out of the altamont and vasco you see the sensors change as you get to 580. 5 41. Counting down to the paris olympics. Ahead on today in the bay, the reason athletes from two countries will not be a part of the opening ceremony. Well have the latest on the fight between texas and the federal government, and parents of children with autism go to washington to ask for help. Were in the upper 40s now. It is all clear and we have sunshine to start out the day. Its going to be a cool morning, but a gradual warmup toward a very nice and mild afternoon. And we will see this lasting for a couple more days. Well talk about changes in the weekend forecast coming up. Were looking at any changes here at fremont, 880 looks like a smooth drive, picking up the volume, headlights heading south out of fremont and toward milpitas. We do have a crash reported on the eastshore freeway. We saw sensors slowing. Ill show you what we find with our live camera coming up. Thank you so much. It is a quarter until 6 00 right now. The battle between the federal government and the state of texas continues this morning. Scott mcgrew has been following this, and at issue right now, who can enforce border policy. When you ask the leadership in texas, they say, hey, we can. Thats right, and the federal government says you cant. When you hear about this battle over texas state law called sb4, thats all it is. Who gets to enforce American Immigration policy. A federal Appeals Court has put a hold on implementing the new law, which allows texas Law Enforcement to arrest people who cross the border illegally. This, after the Supreme Court lifted the hold but sent the case back down to the lower court. The law has been on again, off again, but never on again long enough to allow texas Law Enforcement to take any action or arrest anybody. There are some powers reserved just for the federal government. For instance, montana cannot declare war on canada, and california cannot tell nevada not to trade with oregon. The courts are still working out what texas can and cannot do to enforce federal Immigration Law. I mentioned this in our business section, but the Biden AdministrationJust Announced a new massive grant to intel so it can build a chip fabrication facility in arizona. Its part of the bipartisan chips act. Parents of children with autism were on capitol hill yesterday, pushing lawmakers there to renew the autism cares act that will expire at the end of the year. The law was passed nearly 20 years ago, and helps Fund Research programs and training. Congress renewed it twice, 2014 and 2019. But its a different tone in congress these days. Here is a therapist from the bay area. Asking for federal funding to continue to provide Research Investment and trending programs to make sure we have intervention, treatment, and evidencebased services for this very needy population. In ohio, republican candidate for Senate Bernie moreno has won his primary, beating out two more traditional oldschool republicans for the right to run against the incumbent democrat. I want to thank President Trump for all he did for me, for this campaign, for his unwavering support, for his love of this country. I dont think ive ever seen somebody who loves this country the way he does, so thank you to President Trump. Now, democrats see that endorsement as a weakness and, in fact, actually ran a stealth ad campaign playing up moreno for senate so that he would be the one current democratic senator sherrod ran against. They see moreno as the easiest to beat. Peter navarro turned himself in yesterday for a fourmonth sentence. He stopped at a nearby strip mall for one last press conference. When i walk in that prison today, the Justice System such as it is will have done a crippling blow to the constitutional separation of powers and executive privilege. Navarro was subpoenaed by congress during the january 6th committee investigation, but refused to testify, claiming, laura, executive privilege. Thank you very much, scott. It is 5 49 right now. Ahead of the 2024 olympics in paris, the International OlympicCommittee Says russia and belarus will not take part in the parade of athletes.
