The crane operator was off latimer avenue. And our reporter is on the scene. They are working to get the crane off at home right now. Here we are 10 hours after it happened. Let me show you what this looks like now. They had used these large cranes to get the wheels of this crane back on the pavement. The arm is still extended over the homes. They are working to retract that safely and get it pulled away from this residence. It has been busy out here as they try to make sure everyone is safe as they do this recovery effort. Then for the residents, this was a very close call. The crane was fully extended, 190 feet in the air. Suddenly it toppled over before noon on tuesday, crashing down on a house and several other structures. We could hear a loud crash. Something i had never heard before.
