wawa located on pulaski highway in bear. reporter: police say the man moo murdered the corporal, burgon sealy jr., was the man inside the middletown house this morning firing at police. at 9:17 a.m., the armed suspect exited the residence and engaged police. reporter: police say the incident started yesterday at this wawa in bear. corporal ballard asked sealy, a passenger in a parked car, goat out. there was an altercation. sealy pulled a gun and started shooting. corporal ballard immediately went to the ground. the suspect fired multiple rounds. reporter: the police are still looking for many answers including a possible motive. the superintendent was asked about unverified reports that sealy may have been radicalized online in some way. none that we will disclose at this time. we ll continue to investigate and we ll make that information available if it becomes available. reporter: kim oding and her daughter faith drove up from maryland to place balloons and f
at first he thought it was fireworks. all of a sudden bam. you know i hear it again and then that s when i ducked because i heard the ricco shaye off the wall. somebody shooting. reporter: one bullet went through the window of a corner fried chicken restaurant. kianna smith was in bed across the street. i rollout bed on the floor and i was ducking looking out my window making sure my husband wasn t out here. reporter: shooting victim identified as 16 year old zion abdullah chester high school sophomore and football player staggered down 11th street to the vacant columbus elementary school property and died there. chester upland school officials immediately locked down the high school next door and other diss trek schools to keep students out of harm s way. parents rushed to chester high to collect their children. get them home. i shouldn t have to worry about my kids walking to school and making sure they re okay or safe. it shouldn t be like that. one woman scuff
