A mosque had approached the High Court stating that the Waqf Tribunal, which deals with disputes related to waqf properties, last functioned in April 2022.
The Court said that to make assumptions that a woman, by virtue of her profession as a police officer, cannot possibly be a victim in her own personal or matrimonial life, is a form of injustice.
The complainant also took the step of sending a legal notice to social media platforms to remove the video depicting court proceedings presided over by special judge Kaveri Baweja on March 28. - Newsx
