Billy Ray “Bill” Berger, was a man with character and a deep devotion to his family. A man whose humor was infectious, and whose selflessness ran deeper than the rivers and bays he fished. Bill passed away peacefully on Feb. 4, 2024 at the age of 73. He lived a life full of adventure, hard work, and an ever-present helping hand.
Troy Lee McQueen, 76, of Columbus, Texas passed away on Jan. 15, 2024. He was born in Denison, Texas on Feb. 23, 1947 to Mamie Louise Boney and RV McQueen. He spent his early years in Bonham, Texas. Troy charted his own course, leaving high school to enter the Army at the age of 17. Troy was assigned to the Nike Hercules Missile Command, then transferred to Redmond, Washington
On Dec. 12, 2023, David Lee Zatopek’s soul ascended to the holy embrace of his beloved Jesus. His prayers were answered; he has joined his mother and father and is now cradled in the loving arms of God the Father and the Blessed Virgin Mary. David ‘s work and service to God on Earth is done, and he was prepared and accepted his new role with the Almighty.
Ryan Lyle Dohmann, 40, of Alvin, Texas, died Aug. 25, 2023, following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 24, 1982, in Houston to Edgar Lee and Janis Naumann Dohmann.
Gayle Marie Bartels, 80, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023. She was born on July 13, 1943, to Robert Aubrey Bone and Elise Marie (Madere) Bone in New Orleans.
