spot to deliver accurate return fire would have undoubtedly been dangerous and there would have been a high probability that some of the officers would have been shot or even killed. however, the officers also would likely have been able to stop the attacker and then focus on getting immediate medical care to the wounded. heart breaking news with each development in that investigation. a potential fourth of july mass shooting plot was foiled thanks to a smart citizen. police in richmond, virginia, arrested two men who they say were planning a mass shooting that would have targeted an amphitheater where the city was hosting the fireworks show. the arrest came in after a tip on july 1st from someone who had overheard a conversation the suspects allegedly had about their plan, which spurred a police investigation. the police conducted a voluntary search on the men s apartment and found over 200 rounds of ammunition, two assault rifles,
