During this time i thing xi jinping will not make it easy on taiwan. What will china do . I dont think china will take drastic measures against taiwan. Instead china will tighten the screws with gradually. That will hurt taiwan people. Taiwan people are very sensitive to what china has to say or do. So even though the measure is not that drastic, relatively mild, in the former chinese perspective that will hurt china. What im concerned this will have a negative impact on taiwans domestic politics which will internally have a negative feedback loop on china. So thats the thing that we have to pay very close attention to. Do you characterize this coming election outcome, characterize it more by recuring political outcome or having coming together . Do you want to take that . Yeah. I think i already mentioned in my remark there that this election will obviously trigger a generational shift. That will clearly be the case with dpp or for the green camp as a whole. And also, a lot of people in their 30s or even late 20s, they have been very active in social movement and also grassroots organization. They will steadily climb up the ladder and become an important forces in shaping the electoral politics. It depends on how his party and his own turn out. Ing . I think bureaucrats today are really politicians with tender. Thats whats happened or they havent become civil servants. They become politicians of tenure. I dont know how were going to do it.
