The Labour politician visited Torus Group’s recently opened Harpers Green Extra Care scheme in Longbarn, on Harpers Road, where she had the opportunity to meet with staff and residents. The development opened in December 2020 and offers 97 one and two-bedroom apartments for over 55s with care provided by national, Warrington-based charity Making Space and funded by Warrington Borough Council. ....
Housing group Torus has welcomed residents to its latest extra care scheme in Longbarn, Harpers Green. The development, on Harpers Road, has transformed the site of the former Bayleaf restaurant and provides people aged 55 and over with secure, modern and affordable one and two-bedroom apartments for rent or shared ownership. Torus says a huge benefit of extra care complexes is that residents retain their independence but have the peace of mind that flexible on-site care is available if and when needed. Care at Harpers Green has been funded and commissioned by Warrington Borough Council and will be provided by national charity and Warrington-based Making Space. ....
