The EU Citizens Support Service (EUCSS), run by Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) had more people accessing its support last month than the previous two combined. In April there were 448 people accessing the EUCSS which increased to 545 in May and 1,075 in June. CAS has compared the figures to the total numbers requiring immigration advice from their network, which are 627 in April, 776 in May and 1,410 in June. ....

Australians given airline vouchers in response to border closures and flight cancellations are struggling to cash them in - with Qantas not accepting them online and hours-long phone queues. Melbourne couple Peter and Ollie Watson said they endured eight hours on the phone when they tried to redeem their Qantas credits after being told they could not use them digitally. Mr Watson said on the four occasions he got through to someone on his marathon call they either had trouble understanding English or had not been properly trained. The hunt returns for the best young concept designers Year 10 to 13 students from across Aotearoa are invited to design a character for the 2021 Earth Guardians competition. Massey University’s College of Creative Arts is once again encouraging secondary and Kura Kaupapa students to open their minds and let imagination take over as the Earth Guardians competition returns for 2021. Building on the success of 2020, the competition gives students a glimpse of what it is like to study the new Concept Design major in the Bachelor of Design. Students from across Aotearoa who are in year 10 to 13, are invited to participate by creating a character to defend the earth, using nature and the four elements to inspire their designs.
