and good soul. wonderful mother. did everything for her son. she was always there for her son. she stayed home. she did what she had to do as a parent. it was great. reporter: it was skye brunetti s morning routine to take the family dog, walk her son to the bus stop, then return home. but this morning she didn t make it home. police say 50-year-old barbara caton of east islip driving this white chrysler jumped the curb and killed brunetti and her dog. police aren t releasing details on what caused her to veer off union boulevard. the car struck the 25-year-old right in front of her home. caton was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. many of brunetti s friends and family members came to the scene in disbelief. she was an amazing person. more than anything. brunetti s brother told me the car was speeding before it hit her. police are not confirming that, just saying they re still investigating the accident. kristin thorne, channel 7 eyewitness news. a deadly l
