On the elcamino northbound in the southbound lanes. The car was going in the wrong lanes and it seemed real dangerous and im surprised that nobody really got hurt more than they did. Reporter the driver and the sheriff sergeant were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. It began around 7 00 a. M. Firefighters came out to help, but the driver refused and sped away. It was next spotted at the belmont safe way when the driver crashed into the front door and sped away again. By this time, patrol cars were in pursuit. The quick thinking of a sheriffs sergeant, he used his patrol car to push her off the roadway and on to the sidewalk. If it hadnt been for the quick thinking of the sergeant, he would have traveled the wrong way and would have caused an accident. But the issue is that air quality. A lot of smoke were seeing outside is due to the smoke from the mosquitorifting east to west, away from the sierra into the bay area. And for another day tomorrow well see moderate levels of smoke pollution due to that wildfire smoke drifting in from the east. Better news for us in terms of air quality as we move forward tomorrow into monday. Better air quality here. But if you have plans up toward the sierra, aqi levels above 500. Hazardous is over 300. This is 500 at lake tahoe, preventing aircraft from getting in the air and helping to fight that fire, the mosquito fire on the west slope of the sierra. Scattered showers south of lake tahoe.
