Right now, we are seeing the rain move in to portions of bucks, Montgomery County and into Burlington County. And you can see Philadelphia International is reporting a few snowflakes and theres a small patch of some snow as well. But the greatest threat is from the freezing rain. This is what well produce with icy conditions also happening in the Lehigh Valley right now and farther to the north in the pocano mountains. Thats down 3 degrees in the last hour and a half. So freezing rain is a threat this morning. As doug mentioned, the water main that broke today was installed in the 1940s. The nbc10 investigators did some digging into the citys water city they found the average pipe is 67 years ago old. Investigators crunched the numbers and found it burst 8. 9 times a day in the city below the national average. The Water Department is replacing 20 to 30 miles of pipe every year. The commissioner told us that upkeep could eventually lead to higher water bills. Nbc10 has learned new information about an assault investigation at philadelphias Jefferson Station.
